THE FUTURE WE WANT

Recently I had attended the BMUN which as usual was held at Vidyaniketan School. With my participation certificate I got a postcard which carried a message from the United Nations Information Centre,Delhi. On the front there is a beautiful painting drawn by a student of the Ryan International School,Delhi. Below the painting there is a message next to the UN logo which says the future we want is a future with water.  On the back of the post card there are three water droplets which have did-you-knows on water.
The first droplet says :-
** Clean, accessible water for all is an essential part of the world we live in. There is sufficient fresh water on the planet to achieve this dream. Every year millions of people, most of them children, die from diseases associated with inadequate supply, sanitation and hygiene.**

The second droplet says :-
**Sustainable water management and the efficient provision of adequate drinking water and sanitation services, investment in water infrastructure and water-based adaptation to climate change - all these are  key to achieving a green economy.**

The third droplet says :-
**Water scarcity, poor water quality and inadequate sanitation negatively impact food security, livelihood choices and educational opportunities for the less privileged across the world. Drought afflicts some of the world's poorest countries , worsening hunger and malnutrition. By 2050, at least one in four persons is likely to live in a country affected by chronic or recurring shortages of fresh water.**

Below these drops it says 'UN WATER , WORLD WATER DAY ,2013 , INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF WATER COOPERATION ' .
Till date out of all the postcards carrying a message and all the protests I have seen this card happened to be the  best because using colours and three droplets it instills a strong message in the readers mind that there is water shortage on earth and if we don't react we are going to be the ones who suffer. Using such kind of modes the GOI should start publicising the social evils our country is facing, how can we help and how will it make a change in our lives. By doing this it will help educate the literate and the illiterate about the country they live in and the problems it faces .
